Call for Ethnographic Films ASA 09 Conference (Bristol, UK, 6-9 April 2009)

Films can now be proposed to the film programme of the Association of Social Anthropologists of the UK and Commonwealth Annual Conference. Films will be screened in parallel with the main panel programme. Showing of a full film in this programme does not preclude a visual contribution to a panel: indeed it may complement the showing of an extract within a panel, as a focus for discussion around the relevant panel theme.
If film makers are able to attend the conference and give a short talk at the film showing this would be appreciated, although not essential for a
film's acceptance. Where possible films should be provided in DVD format.

Please include in the abstract the film length in minutes, year, format,
and whether film maker presence is likely.

The deadline for proposals is the 13th February 2009.
